Summer 2010 Wyoming Dino Dig

Wednesday, November 18th, 2009

Planning for SMLI’s Wyoming Dino Dig scheduled for August 21-28, 2010 is underway. I am very excited to be leading this expedition and hope that anyone interested in being a “dino hunter” will contact us for further details. Parents and students are invited to travel with us to the famed Wyoming Dinosaur Center and Dig Sites in Thermopolis, Wyoming.

The trip includes a comprehensive week long opportunity to “dig deep” (no pun intended) into the science of paleontology enrolled in CSI:Jurassic at the Wyoming Center. Participants will learn skills which will take them from the field to the lab.

Of course, there will be some less serious aspects of the trip such as visiting the World’s Largest Mineral Hot Spring at Hot Springs State Park. The hot mineral water will be very therapeutic for us parents after a day at the digsite.

Please check out our website for more info and do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to a fun and fascinating end to summer 2010 in Thermopolis, Wyoming. Reservations and deposits are currently due by January 1. Spaces are limited.
